Course objectives:

The aim of the course is to define a specific field of nursing and to acquaint students with its importance.

Requirements on student

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Completing assigned written work. Successful completion of a written test.

Content
|
Transcultural nursing and globalization in health care. Defining the concept of transcultural nursing and its dimensions. Transcultural nursing evaluation, application of culturally specific nursing models. Immigrants living in the Czech Republic and the question of integration and health care. Characteristics of the system of health care provision in the Czech Republic, rights and responsibilities of immigrants when accessing health care, valid legal regulations, and international agreements. Differences between the health care system in the Czech Republic on the one hand and health care systems in those countries where the majority of immigrants come from on the other hand. A person's spiritual life, fundamental religious faiths. Communication and language barriers.
