Course objectives:
|
The use of theoretical knowledge gained during the study in solving a specific theoretical or practical problem and elaboration of a report on the progress of the solution in written form according to a specific assignment.

Requirements on student

Individual work, knowledge of English, professional knowledge.

Content
|
The student gets acquainted with the diploma thesis assignment and proceeds according to the general instructions:
- study literary sources on the assigned topic, especially current sources, foreign-language and original scientific works;
- to elaborate a research - a text containing the results and findings already published.
Students independently seek out the theoretical background for solving the task, plan and implement their own experiment, evaluate the results independently and discuss their importance with the supervisor.
The student continuously attends regular individual consultations and works independently according to the instructions of the supervisor or consultant. The student is led to the defense of the thesis, the ability to apply the acquired knowledge and individual work according to the assignment are verified.
Introductory seminar: setting out the objectives of the thesis, the schedule of the thesis, formal aspects of the thesis.

Competences acquired |
The student is able to use the theoretical and practical knowledge gained during the study in solving a specific theoretical or practical assignment. The student is able to independently search theoretical background for solving the task, plan and implement the experiment, evaluate the results and consult with the supervisor their importance. He / she is able to produce a written report on how to solve a given task. The student has mastered the principles of conducting and organizing notes on work. |
