Course objectives:

The main course objective is to enhance the previously acquired language skills with special attention paid to the development of the language used in the specific area of English for Specific Purposes (ESP; IT and Electrical Engineering) a English for Academic Purposes(EAP). The initial level of communicative competence: B2+ in General English and ESP.
The target level of communicative competence: C1 in ESP and EAP.
The course focuses on developing vocabulary and productive skills relevant to students´ future professional and/or academic careers.

Speaking: interactivity, distinguishing register.
Reading: mastering reading techniques, advanced use of dictionaries and sources of information.
Writing: respecting style and register.
Listening: comprehension of commonly mediated types of listening in ESP and EAP.
