Course objectives:
|
Following up on Language in Use I, the aim of the course is to further develop the students' communicative competence in English in all its areas - linguistic, pragmatic and strategic. Students develop their skills to use the English language effectively in its spoken and written forms appropriate to the social context. The content of the course is the development of productive and receptive skills based on the acquisition of relevant linguistic resources.

Independent preparation for seminars and active participation
Preparation of assignments according to the requirements of both teachers
Final exam consisting of:
- a written test focused on the topics covered
- an oral part verifying speaking skills at B2+ level

11 Fashion; comparing and connecting phrases
12 Decisions; letters and e-mails

Grammatical and lexical topics:
modals and semimodals, reason and result, negative prefixes, future forms, participle clauses, word formation, reported speech, infinitives and -ing forms, phrasal verbs, topical idioms and collocations
