Course objectives:
|
Students will get acquainted with the basics of atom structure (with emphasis on the aufbau principle of the electron shell), chemical bonds (covalent, ionic, metal, bonding in solids) and the classification of chemical reactions. The issue of chemical nomenclature and basic chemical calculations is an integral part.
