Course content
Basic of the computer typography. Preparing of large text documents and large mixed documents. Basic terms and a terminology from Desktop Publishing. Work with software Adobe Photoshop.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Methods of individual activities
Learning outcomes
The subject deals with the computer typography basics. An accent is put on preparing of large text documents and large mixed documents. It will be explained and practiced basic terms, a problem of conversion and a terminology from Desktop Publishing.
Student will be able to design and process electronic and printed documents. Student will understand rules of color choice, font type choice and she/he will be able to process given template of document.
Prerequisites
Basic skills with PC utilization and MS Word.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

Assignment: to make an acceptable project; specifications of that project will be set on first lecture. Exam: students have to pass through an examination from the subjects mentioned on the lectures.
