Course content
|
Sources and system characteristics of the European law. Institutional law of the EU. Basic rights and citizenship of the EU. Judicature of the European Court of Justice. European administrative space. Right of free movement of goods, people, services and capital. European competition law. Legal aspects of consumer protection. Area of freedom, internal security and administration of justice.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the actual situation of the European Union law integration and explain basic institutes of the EU law in more details. Students will be able to use properly basic terms of the European economic and administrative legislation; understand the interactions between EU law and national laws; independently search and use community law regulations; read correctly practices of the European Court of Justice and understand the gist of them; solve real legal problems related to claiming the freedoms of free movement of goods, people, services and capital.
The students gain experience in law terms and will be able to solve elementary legal problems in the field of EU law.

Prerequisites
|
The students should be familiar with basic courses on Introduction to Law.

Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment
Examination is granted upon passing written test.
