Course content
Lectures: The subject-matter of psychology - history, psychology as an independent scientific discipline, starting points, paradigms/theories The basic fields and current trends of psychology Classification of psychology among the sciences, psychological terms and definitions Psychological methods Personality psychology, structure, integration, conception/approach, determinants Cognitive processes, emotions, motivation, mental patterns which control activities Work psychology - origin and development, psycho-technique, work counselling Work activities, psychological description, ability to work, qualification, performance Engineering psychology, ergonomics Social group value determinants of work Applied psychology in human resources management and social work

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the basic topics of general and social psychology, and personality psychology with a focus on psychology of work and management and economic psychology.
Student will acquire detailed overview about theoretical and applied psychology. There is a emphasis on topics from area of individual psychology, social psychology and work psychology.
