Course content
|
The explanation will cover and analyse opinions considering treated cultural heritage item value, characterise and assess current general know edge in this branch. Knowledge related to complicated development of restoration branch considering changes in social structures starting from the ancient period up to present days. Theoretical and methodological problems and individual historical restoration periods will be presented using characteristic examples and supported by visual documentation.

|
Subject objectives consist in getting required theoretical knowledge on the origin, development and trends in the restoration branch considering methodology and culture heritage care theory, museums, galleries, archives and further institutions protecting tangible cultural evidence of the past. To acquire sound methodological background required for decision-making process at restoration and conservation activities.
Students are well versed in current trends problems within restoration branch, cultural heritage care considering the international context.
