Course content
|
Fundamentals of nursing care of patients after an orthopaedic surgery, prevention of the immobilization syndrome. Evaluation of work and self-care potential - methods and practical use options. Technical options to compensate for a person's reduced activity (aids, prosthetics, legal regulations). Verticalization issues in various types of disability, theoretical options for their use in practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to expand knowledge in the field of neurology and rehabilitation.
The student knows specifics of nursing care of neurological patients, of adult orthopaedics, child orthopaedics, degenerative illnesses, and of trauma to the locomotive apparatus. At the same time, the student will be acquainted with questions related to economics of the service.

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of an oral examination.
