Course content
|
Defining the subject of psychology of health and illness. The patient and disease. The patient and the health care environment. Hospitalism and iatrogenic conditions. Introduction to psychosomatic medicine. Psychological problems of selected diseases and disorders. The issue of dying and death.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information from the field of health psychology, with an emphasis on the personality of the patient.
Students will be able to apply gained knowledge to the radiology assistant's clinical practice in the extent of the course syllabus.
