Course content
Contemporary Business Issues. Technological World. Problem Solving / Negotiating. International Business Comparison. Marketing / Advertising. Data Analysis. Presentations. Standardized final language exam which consists of both the written and the oral part and which also reflects the specific command of language relevant to the student?s professional needs.

Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The main course objective is to enhance the previously acquired language skills with special attention paid to the development of the language used in the specific area of Business English. The final level of communicative competence: B1+ in Business English. The course focuses on developing vocabulary and productive skills including presentation skills in English relevant to students´ future professional careers.
The student is able to communicate interactively at B1 level, is versed in using extended Business English vocabulary. B1+/BE: Speaking: interactivity, distinguishing register. Reading: mastering reading techniques, advanced use of dictionaries and sources of information. Writing: respecting style and register. Listening: comprehension of commonly mediated types of listening (Working English.
Prerequisites
Communicative competence: CEFR B1 in general English.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral performance analysis, Didactic test

Submitting seminar papers a week prior to the end of the term. Students are required to submit 4 seminar assignments per the term (to be specified). Presentation (Presenting a Company/ Product/ Strategy). Exam: Test in writing: pass mark 60% ; oral part.
