Course content
Spanish in the world, language and culture. Geography of Spain, tourism. Autonomous communities, administrative organisation. Madrid, Barcelona and other Spanish cities. History and origin. Restoration. Modern time. Spain of today, current political situation. Spanish cuisine. National holidays. Architecture, art and music. Sport. .

Learning outcomes
The subject is focused on cultural specifics of Spanish-speaking countries and their comprehension. During the seminar, questions on multi-social and national co-existence will be discussed. There will also be introduced current economic situation in Spain and Latin American countries. Students will also become familiar with current literatutre and art.
Students will gain basic review of Spain, his history, culture, society etc.

Written test based on the lectured topics. Seminar paper on a chosen topic.
