Course content
Basic terms in branch of EMC. EMC of power devices of rail transport. EMC of traction circuit elements (TC). EMC of driving rail vehicles. Resonant effects in TC. Effect of self-resonant frequency of AC system. Compenzation of reactive power.Filter-Compenzation devices (FCD) at AC traction system. Balancing of power demand. EMC of other devices at rail transport. Quality criteria of power energy and supply. Standards for EMC. Excursion. Time reserve and other information.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with problems of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in particular rail transport. During course student are acquainted with priciples and ways of technical solutions which are resistant to intertenal an external interference sources and sapecific problem of EMC at elektrical traction systems.
After passing out this subject the student earns basic knowledge of Electromagnetic compatibility at Rail Transport. Student is able to use these skills in practice.
Prerequisites
It is assumed that the student has the good basic knowledge about electrical engineering, electronics, communication technics and other branches. The student´s knowledge are deepened in field of EMC.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

The student has to prove understanding solved problems during the summer half and at the final exam. The teacher imparts specific requests in the first semester's week.
