Course content
The main topics will be the analysis of the fundamental epistemological notions of knowledge, thought, fact, truth, logical proposition and judgment, logical structure of scientific explanation and its methodological significance for modern scientific knowledge. There also will be inquired the relations among notions of hermeneutic understanding and scientific explanation, philosophical foundations of modern science and humanities and modern epistemology and hermeneutics.In the end there will be inquired pragmatic theories of knowledge, theories of growth of the scientific knowledge and analytic philosophy of language.

Learning outcomes
In this course will be analyzed fundamental principals, notions and methods of the european epistemology from the epistemology of the 18. century to the main philosophical steams of the modern philosophy of the 20, century.

Attendance at seminars is obligatory. Credit is dependent upon writing and presenting a semester paper dealing with one of the given topics and passing a written test.
