Course content

Switches and crossings, transition points. Construction of the station gridiron. Traffic and transport stations. Railway station, transport documentation stations. Operational performance, operational arrangements of lines and stations. Railway substructure and superstructure in stations. Equipment for passenger and luggage. Facilities for loading and unloading wagon loads, combined freight transport. Solutions to the various types of stations. Design and operation of sidings and yards businesses. Railway junctions.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of subject is to introduce the design and construction of railway stations.
After completing the course the student is able to focus on the design and construction of railway stations and junctions.

Prerequisites
|
The student must have graduated subject Rail construction and Railway lines.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination
Terms of the credit determines the lecturer. Participation in exercise - at least 70% Preparation and submission of all tasks assigned to exercise Successful resolution of the final test - min 70% In the examination, the student will demonstrate knowledge of the active topics presented in lectures
