Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to deepen theoretical and practical knowledge about database systems and is the follow-up course to the Database systems I.
Students will be able to perform questions using commands of the SQL language, and to map the object-oriented data model into the relational data model. They will understand how to define integrity limitations in all phases of development of the information database system. Furthermore, they will be able to model and design data warehouses as well as understand impacts of transaction processing, and principles of centralized and distributed databases.
