Course content

Introduction to websites creation, basic terminology. Introduction to the HyperText Markup Language and the eXtensible HyperText Markup Language. Introduction to Cascading Style Sheets. Web design. Principles of web page accessibility. Search Engine Optimization. Websites of municipalities. Introduction to forms.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to give the students a complex awareness of web-page design and its purpose. The course focuses on static web page design using the knowledge of HTML. Attention will be directed to web-page design and the principles of accessible web design.
Students will be able to work with the HTML code of existing web pages and to create their own web pages. They will be familiar with the HTML code and with the tools used for accessible web page design.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Work-related product analysis
Throughout the semester, students will independently complete a semester project and submit it before the deadline. They are required to take the final assessment test, which is based on assessing practical and theoretical skills (to be awarded a grade students are required to pass the written test with a minimum 75 % success rate). Student is marked on the base of results of the written final test, taking consideration of the quality of the project.
