Course content
|
Basic etiquette rules. Key concepts in communication. Main ways of communication behaviour. Cultural differences. Types of audience and their requirements. Colours in presentations. Visual graphics and animations. Graphs and how to give presentations correctly using graphs. Types of presentations. Presentation parts and structure. Professional presentation structure. Settings preparation. Main rules of writing and presenting professional projects.

Learning outcomes
|
The course focuses on the preparation of materials, structuring and presentation making. Students will learn to prepare their presentations for different types of audience. They will be introduced to real data design and presentation with regard to psychological audience profiling. At the same time they will deepen their knowledge in the area of data design and presentation using information technologies.
Students will learn to effectively work with products and tools designated for presentations. They will learn to engage the audience, to prepare a presentation on a professional level and to make their performances more effective.

Prerequisites
|
Basic skills in MS Word and MS PowerPoint utilization and effective searching on Internet.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Discussion
Assignment: written test (at minimum 60 %) and successful defence of a project. Detailed information will be provided during the first lecture and in Stag.
