Course content
Establishment of a Travel Agency. ¨ Tourist Fairs. Trends and Tendencies in Tourism. Touristic Destinations in the Czech Republic and Germany Comparison of Bavarian and Czech Cuisine (national meals, habits, types of catering facilities, menu composition). Offers of Travel Agencies (Czech-German intercultural differences, vocabulary, terminology, etc.). Professional Language in Tourism.

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Methods of individual activities
Learning outcomes
Using the example of the field of tourism, the course will enable students to obtain professional knowledge and social competence. Students will be able to speak competently, grammatically and stylistically correctly on topics related to tourism. They will also learn the vocabulary and grammatical and lexical structures from this field.
Students will extend their professional knowledge and vocabulary related to tourism. The ability to orientate in professional texts will be developed and the range of exercises to progress components of communicative language teaching will be extended. Emphasis is placed on students' independent work and presentation on a given topic, corresponding with their professional specialization.

Assessment methods and criteria
Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment, Presentation

Active participation in seminars - 80%, continuous completion of assignments and project presentations. Excursion to Germany followed by a presentation on a given topic. Attestation method: credit
