Course content
1. Introduction. The knowledge of Bulgaria in the Czech lands in the second half of 19th century. 2. Bulgaria under Ottoman rule. The participation of Czechs in the Bulgarian struggles for liberation. 3. The division of Bulgaria during the congress of Berlin. Job opportunities for the Czechs in the Bulgarian principality and in the Eastern Rumelia. Travelling to Bulgaria. 4. Everyday life of the Czechs in Bulgaria. 5. Czech teachers in Bulgaria I. 6. Czech teachers in Bulgaria II. 7. Czech musicians in Bulgaria. 8. Czech artists in Bulgaria. 9. Czech industrialists and entrepreneurs in Bulgaria. 10. Czech workers in Bulgaria. 11. The participation of Czechs in the wars of Bulgaria. Serbian-Bulgarian war (1885). Balkan wars (1912 1913). Bulgaria in the Great War (1914 1918). 12. Organizations of the Czechs in Bulgaria in the years 1878 1900. 13. History of the organization "Czech" in the years 1892 1918.
