Course content
|
Introduction to archaeology. Present legal framework in the Czech Republic, system of sciences, relationship to some related disciplines, interdisciplinary relations. History of the field from the global and Czech viewpoint, development of conceptions, methodical approaches, key personalities. Selected archaeological publications/periodicals. A visit of a local archaeological centre.

After finishing this course students will be able to understand archaeological legislation, documentation, organisation of work and scientific literature.

Student performance assessment, Discussion
Make a list of selected bibliography in the range of A4 page from archeological literature. Write down a short annotation in the range of A4 page from selected archeological monograph or study. Pass a test.
