Methods used in onsite activities (excavations) and their elaboration (off site activities). Development of settlement during middle ages and related structural changes. The archaeological research of the towns of middle ages. The archaeological research of fortified sites of early and high middle ages. Selected chapters from archaeology of middle ages in eastern Bohemia.

The aim is to give the basic information about the archaeology of middle ages from point of view theory and practice. Students will independently elaborate reports in selected problems and they will discuss them with other students in seminar.
