Key learning outcomes The aim of the study branch of Transport Means (DP) is to prepare graduated specialists especially for creative technical branches or supervisory positions in the fields of projection, design, maintenance and operation of road vehicles (SV) or railway vehicles (SV). Alumni of master study branch of Transport Means are capable of individual creative activities in the field of projection, design, maintenance and operation of road vehicles or railway vehicles. They have knowledge background of theoretical subjects. They are able to utilize systems for computer aided design (FEM, CAD, ProEngineer), too. In the field of specialized subjects they have knowledge of the theory of design and maintenance of vehicles, vehicles testing and utilization of advanced constructional materials. Alumni are prepared especially for higher level operational and supervisory positions, in the field of design, production, operation and repairs of transport means. But they can find jobs also in research and development sphere or at higher positions at state and regional administration. Knowledge base obtained during master study gives the alumni background to continue their studies in postgraduate study programs of the same or similar orientation or specialisation, too.
