Course content
Biogenic elements in plants and soil Plant physiology Photosynthesis - principles, practical aspects in plant production Fundamentals of soil science, physical, chemical and biological properties of soil Sorption properties of soil and their importance to plant nutrition and fertilization Artificial and organic fertilizers Composts Pesticides - classification, principles of action, application Precise agriculture Chemical and biological substances in livestock nutrition Mineral feeding additives

Learning outcomes
Integration of information that students gained in previous study of chemical, biochemical and technological subjects, their further deepening and utilization in agriculture at preservation of sustainable development.
Graduate of the subject is equipped with knowledge required at various working positions in agriculture, chemical industry, research & development and other fields connected with manufacture and application of agrochemicals.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of biochemistry, biology, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry, inorganic technology (artificial fertilizers).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

The course is ended by written test and oral exam. To admit to oral exam it is necessary to answer correctly min. 50 % of test questions.
