Learning outcomes
|
Students will be introduced to the basics ot translating. There are specified specific features of many different kinds of texts and related translating methods. The course focuses on academic text translation, marginally fiction texts. The main gist is individual work on chosen texts and subsequent problems discussion and finding optimal solutions.
Students will learn to recognize and work with main problems when translating. They will acquire basic translating methods.

knowledge of the German language at the level B1
KAA/TEPR and KCJ/JNC1

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Home assignment evaluation, Work-related product analysis
Translations, active participation. Presentation (10 - 15 minutes.). Seminar paper: topic of own choice, 1 - 2 standard pages into CZ (by 20th April). Interview - knowledge of the lectured topics.
