Course content
Principles of free market economy Juridical forms of business Assets and capital structure of the company Costs and revenues, earnings Cost and revenue functions, break even point Tax system in the Czech Republic The basis of management Determination (function of management, planning, control) Organizational structures and norms Financial management Investment valuation, time value of money Logistic management, stock Management of human resources, motivation, personel activities, timemanagement, techniques of presiding meetings.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to give the students the elementary knowledge about the economical theory and business practice.
After finishing the subject the student is well informed about the economical theory and business practice. He knows how to start the business, he has the knowledge about the elementary business activities and he is informed about manager skills.
Prerequisites
Knowledge in mathematics on high school level is needed for study of the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

Students complete one written examination in the seminar (in the 10th week) and one oral exam at the end of the semester.
