Course content
Skin diseases (dermatoses), skin infections, eczema, skin allergic reactions, sexually transmissible diseases. Aetiology, clinical picture, diagnostics, treatment options, diet therapy, complications, prevention. Infectious diseases of the GI tract, nervous system, HIV/AIDS. Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to deepen knowledge gained while studying at the baccalaureate level and to prepare students for specialized care of patients with selected infectious and dermatovenerological diseases.
The student knows the aetiology, clinical picture, diagnostics, therapeutic options, diet therapy, complications, and prevention of selected diseases. Based on theoretical knowledge, the student is able to provide specialized nursing care for such patients, including physical assessment by the nurse, assessment of the patient's needs and determination of nursing issues. The student is able to plan nursing interventions, educate about regimen measures and provide barrier nursing care.

Student performance assessment, Didactic test

Completion of compulsory 50% attendance at the lectures. Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of a written test.
