Course content
The individual practical internship follows the supervised practical internship, and it is performed in social services, related services and health care institutions. The practical internship is carried out under the professional guidance of an authorised employee of the organisation in which the internship takes place. The 320-hour Individual Practical Internship course is preceded by the Observational Practical Internship course and the Supervised Practical Internship course. The total number of hours of practical training within the Health and Social Care study programme is 1030 hours.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the practical internship is to develop students' professional competences, their reflection, self-reflection and critical thinking skills, to encourage further learning through learning objectives and activities within the internship.
During their practical internship, students acquire practical skills, and they have the opportunity to confront theoretical knowledge about health and social work with its practical implementation.

Students receive credit for: - 100% active participation in the practical internship - completing specified performances and activities contained in the "Record of performances, assignments and other professional activities of the student studying the Health and Social Care programme" - completing case studies according to the specified target groups - a written evaluation by an authorised employee of the organisation where the student carried out the internship
