Course content
Hepatitis in newborns. Infection of the newborn. Disorders of the internal environment of the newborn. Nursing care for newborns with hepatitis. Nursing care of newborns with infection. The issue of pain in newborns.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with fundamental issues in neonatology. The course focuses on the physiological newborn.
Students' understanding of the total nursing care for newborn and apply acquired skills in the nursing care provided by physiological, and pathological risk newborns with intensive care.

Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation

Completion of compulsory attendance at the lectures and practicum sessions. Completion of a written test or oral examination according to the course guarantor's decision.
