Course content
1. Introduction to Adaptive Control - principles, methods 2. Robust High Gain Control and Gain Scheduling 3. Model Reference Control 4. Self-tuning controllers - recurrent Least Square Method + Pole Placement 5. Introduction to Model Predictive Control - strategy, history, industrial applications 6. Prediction models, objective functions, control law obtaining 7. Dynamic Matrix Control, Predictive Functional Control 8. Generalized Predictive control - with white noise, with coloured noise, with measurable disturbances 9. Multivariable Model Predictive Control - input-output formulation 10. State-space formulation 11. Constrained Model Predictive Control - quadratic programming 12. Robust Model Predictive Control, Nonlinear Model Predictive Control 13. Semester work checking

Learning outcomes
The goal is to acquaint the students with the adaptive and predictive control problematic, with the method selection, design and application of the controller.
Student will learn adaptive and predictive control problematic.
Prerequisites
Knowledge from the subjects Control Theory I and II is supposed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation

Student must get a credit and pass an oral examination.
