Course content
1. Investment aim. Contracts and other aspects of project. Main designer, main supplier, kinds of project drawings. Technical documentation, its structure and range. 2. The study of controlled technology. Relation between technology and automation. PID diagram. Description of technological functions. 3. Analysis of controlled system. Questionnare method, method of similarity. Search. Feedback information. 4. List of control loops and equipments of measurment and control. 5. Technical standards. Safety of operation, effects of surroundings. 6. Hardware and software tools for design. Uniform philosophy during design. 7. Final products of design, tenders. Types of output documentation. Strategy and tactics durings tender. 8. Software part of project. Control algorithms, blockages, charts, balance calculations, communication sotware. 9. Production information sofware, laboratory information systém. Relation among technological and economic information systém. 10. Design and testing sofware for control systems. Final products of programming and their archiving. Simulation, partial and complex tests, optimization during produce. 11. Project from the begining to succsessful end. Monitoring and managing project works in company´s information systém. Designer supervision. CPM and PERT methods. 12. Guarantee and postguarantee service. Periodical prophylaxis, service contract.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
To explain students all important aspects of desing of control systems from pilot project through detailed project, implementaion to guarantee and postguarantee service.
Student will get basic information about partial steps during realization project of control system. Student will be able to set design documentation (including software part) making according Czech rules or standards and contract with customer.
Prerequisites
The knowledge from subject "Control and Automation" from Bachelor´s study programs. The knowledge from subject "Industrial control systems" from Master´s study programs.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

Lessons attendance. Study of standards and rules. Written work.
