The aim of this course is to provide basic information and orientation in European Union functioning and the problems of its existence, especially after 2004, the year of historical broadening, including the position of the Czech Republic in the union. Students will be able to use the knowledge gained in this course for a more effective and objective orientation in the field, as well as in interpreting the main problems of current European Union functioning.
Student will be able to use the acquired knowledge to useful and objective orientation in the subject and interprete the main problems of contemporary EU existence. |

Assessment methods and criteria |
Oral examination
The course ends with an oral examination that includes both EVU 1 and EVU 2. The student is given 30 topics as a cue for study - two of which, drawn by the student, are discussed during the examination. Completion of the assignment for EVU 1 is a precondition for admission to this examination. |
