Course content
|
Demus program for an accounting and classification, working with data, export and import of data, theses of use. Demus program modul Evidence, common mistakes, their correction. Export and import data, link to modul Katalog, eventually to departnental versions. Demus program modul Katalog for evidence of objects on the 2nd level. Work with data in modul Katalog, hands-on training. Bach another program for an accounting and classification, working with data, theses of use. Work with MS Access.

|
During winter semester undergraduates get familiar with the two most frequent catalogue programmes in museum praxis - Demus, Bach and Museion. Modules for registering and cataloguing are introduced in detail level as well as their advantages and disadvantages in museum praxis. The object of this course is to learn mastering and writing data into these programmes and general basics of registering and cataloguing. The programme for central registering of collections CESik is also covered as an integral part of the lesson; its function and sequence of actualization of data. For completeness undergraduates get to know basics of programme MS Access - database back-end for both programmes.
Students will be able work with programs using in museums separately.

Student have to pass twocourses PRAX1, MUP.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Home assignment evaluation
Individual work with Demus, Bach and Museion programs, entering data, data backup, solving basic problems. Simple database creation in MS Access.
