Course content
Logistics concept and objectives. External logistics framework. Wider social and economic framework. Corporate logistics framework. Competitive environment. Logistics as a part of business strategy. Insourcing against outsourcing in logistics. Supply chains - procedural valuebuilding chains - a source of competitive advantage. Product and production process chains. Distribution and trade chains. Backward chains. Pan-European and global chains. Risks of logistics chains.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Methods of individual activities
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of current logistics business practices in a competitive environment of the European Union, the Czech Republic and world markets. Emphasis is placed on specifics of production and marketing chains. The interpretation of each type of logistics chains representing continuity in the manufacturing and commercial area sis include.
Students will be able to prepare and effectively implement logistics management within the enterprise. At the same time, they know specifics of production and logistics trade links.
