Course content
Historical approaches to macroeconomics. Aims and instruments of macroeconomics. Aggregate supply and demand. Quantification of national economy efficiency. Analysis of consumption, savings and investments. Theory of product determination. Money and banking. Inflation. Unemployment. Economic growth and business cycle. Monetary policy. Fiscal policy, deficits and national debt. International trade and exchange. Exchange rates and international monetary system.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with necessary knowledge on its basis students will understand macroeconomic aims and instruments of the stabilization economic policy.
Students will be acquainted with basic macroeconomic aims, price stability problem, unemployment, economic efficiency and external stability as well as with instruments of the stabilization economic policy in its contexture, furthermore, they will understand causes and effects of the market failure at the national level and know how to select and apply adequate approaches in solving selected macroeconomic problems and how to defend these approaches in the discussion.

The assignment is awarded on the basis of delivered task semester (calculated self-written examples) depending on the specific task of the teacher. Examples shall be given in due form and within the specified time. The exam is written.
