Course content |
Region, Regionalism - basic definitions. The spatial dimension of the region. Historical and geographical studies, historical Regional. Options, the need for and examples of regional identity. Stranded sources homeland and regional research. Head, settlement, retrospective identification of the object. Water works. Fortified residence.

Learning outcomes |
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the outline of regional research development in the Czech countries and to modern trends of this field in the current country and foreign historiography (micro-history, environmental history, etc.). The main stress of this course is on the specific methodology of regional research and on acquiring practical research experience while working on the assigned topic (the history of selected locality), including the ability to make a public presentation.
Students will learn about the existing source base in the field of regional-historical research and acquire the basic working operations in this specific discipline of history. |
