Key learning outcomes Postgraduate PhD study programme of philosophy further develops and improves topics introduced in Master´s studies, where it primarily accentuates individual approach of the student towards a selected topic. Characteristic feature of this discipline is further development of ideological grounds of European-American education and therefore advancement in orientation and proper critical thinking, especially in the field of research and exploration. Critical thinking should be developed not only by means of discussion of particular systematic problems in relation to their origin within the history of philosophy but also in relation to their position in current social and intellectual events. This branch of studies is focused not only on Czech thinking, which is mainly represented by philosophical comeniology, but also on European and American ideological tradition. Study of philosophy concentrates on classic topics of philosophy, e.g. those with regard to philosophy of history, philosophy of education, philosophical comeniology, political philosophy and moral thinking.
