Course content
Private law - concept, object, function, sources. Basic principles of private law. Private law facts. Private law relationships. Individuals, Legal persons. Corporations (society), foundations, institutions. Basics of family law. Things in the legal sense. Rights in rem - holding, ownership, co-ownership. Iura in re aliena. Inheritance law.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of private law branch in the Czech Republic, focusing on civil law so that students acquire basic orientation for practice and studying of other legal subjects.
Students will acquire basic knowledge of civil law and its branches so they would be able to follow it in further study of legal branches within their study specialization.

Assignment is granted based on the fulfilling of activities during the course and passing the tests.
