Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is analysis of contemporary Czech fiction focusing on the genre, stylistic and thematic tendencies, as well as the questions of literary culture and literary communication, including critical and media reception of the contemporary works.
On completion of the course, the students will be able to show their cultural historical awareness which can be used in journalism (in editing, in dramaturgy of medial practice, in contact with the media, especially in the realm of culture, furthermore in workplaces connected with the humanities (libraries, cultural committees) or in further studies of the humanities.

Passing a final test, home preparation, regular attendance (max. three absences), active participation.
