Course content
Specific features of popular literature writing. Techniques for searching for a topic. Outlining a story. Modeling characters. Creating dialogue. The art of description (with special focus on the description of the environment). Composition of a text. Use of various levels of language. Final control of texts; corrections. Contact with editors and publishers.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is learning the basics of short story writing and the genres of popular literature (detective stories, science-fiction, fantasy, horror).
The students will acquire creative skills, which can later be used in their own writing as well as in other fields of study and their creative potential will thus be reinforced.

Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment, Oral performance analysis, Work-related product analysis, Creative work analysis

Credit is dependent on sufficient attendance (only three absences are permitted per term), active participation during seminars, and writing three short stories (2-3 normal pages each). These short story will be written in accordance with one genre of popular literature.
