Key learning outcomes
|
The objective of this specialisation is to develop theoretical knowledge acquired in the practically focused bachelor programme and to place them in a more theoretical as well as interdisciplinary context on the general level (the general field) and in the three specialisations. They are: current history, regional history and gender history (gender issues in the historical context). Graduates will be familiar with modern historical research, with wider factual context of the chosen specialisation and they will be able to apply acquired information creatively in specialised work. Graduates will have been equipped with knowledge of political and social context of their field, with its significance and perspective in postmodern society and they will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in different disciplines of the humanities. Graduates may find work in positions requiring training for highly specialised work in institutions and associations involving extensive knowledge of the historical disciplines (museums, cultural institutions, departments of culture in state and local administration). Knowledge acquired during the master study programme is a prerequisite for further PhD study programme Historical Sciences or related disciplines.
