Key learning outcomes The aim of the specialization is to train qualified experts for a wide group of positions in the public administration bodies and business or consultancy organizations dealing with data and information collection and analysis. A graduate is able to apply systematic approach in analyzing various problems concerning security services focused on the area of business intelligence and competitive intelligence (CI) with the maximum utilization of the contemporary information and communication technologies (ICT). He or she is provided with the knowledge and skills for the position of an expert of IT sources, spatial information, databases, computer networks, he or she knows its possibilities and risks. Furthermore a graduate is able to carry out gathering and sectional systematic analysis with the use of CI instruments, on its base define tasks and elaborate documents supporting decision making. Graduates can be employed by self-governing bodies (positions in regional development department, investment department, construction department, defence and protection department, position of secretary) as well as by institutions dealing with the security problems (security industry, rescue service system, local - municipal police, police of the CR, secret services). Graduates can carry out following positions in particular institutions: security auditor, security analyst and prognosticator, security technical designer, security consultant, security organization and system designer, worker and manager of competitive intelligence and crime protection of economic interests etc. The knowledge acquired within the Bachelor study allows the graduates to adapt to completely new future conditions arising from science and technique development. Likewise it creates good prerequisites for the best students to pursue in the follow-up Master study programme of the same or related specialization.
