Key learning outcomes The concept of study program is reflected in persistent interest of graduates in medical institutions (biochemical, microbiological, molecular-biological and hematological laboratories), in university laboratories of medical science research, research institutions including Academy of Sciences of Czech Republic, veterinary institutes and various private institutions. Graduates will gain enough of teoretical knowledge and practical skills for working in developing and testing new analytical methods, diagnostic kits, preparing highly clean reagents and substances for diagnostics, preparation and control of quality and effectivity of therapeutical preparations and medicinals. The study branch is built-up so that graduate could assert oneself in laboratories of medical institutions, in laboratories of pharmaceutical or chemical industry, laboratories of research institutions and other institutions and private firms that are engaged in analyzing of biological materials. Balance and extensity of education is highly regarded. The indisputable advantage of graduates are their technical and practical skills. Students are especially educated in subject of advanced analytical chemistry involving of special analytical methods (chromatography and electrophoresis, atomic and molecular spectrometry etc.), clinical biochemistry, clinical microbiology, immunology and immunochemistry, molecular-biologial methods and correct laboratory practice. Integral part of education is operating of computer equipment and knowledge of chemometrics. Besides of teoretical preparation the emphasis is given on practical forms of education.
