Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to follow the 'identity changes' of an inter-war prime prosaic form - the novel. The definition of various shifts of meaning included in the concept of the novel, getting to the roots of miscellaneous genres during the inter-war period, and the influence of the novel on other socio-cultural connections are all points of discussion for the various texts considered in this course.
A graduate of this course will gain conception of crucial genre position, in which the Czech novel of twenties and thirties of 20th century occured. This qualification is to support ability to read independently and critically as well as to interpret importance of meaning of particular works of Czech prose.
