Course content
The content of social psychology, its relation to other disciplines. The methods of social psychology. An individual in a social context. Social learning, the socialization of an individual. Social interaction ? perception, communication, behaviour. Social groups ? a small social group. Difficult situations. The psychological analysis of problems at work and economic problems (the unemployment). Stress and stress situations at a workplace. The problems connected with the way of life. Sociocultural handicap and the problems caused by the inappropriate influence of the society. The problems connected with the inappropriate influence of the family. Aggressive behaviour, its source and variants. Delinquent behaviour.

Learning outcomes
The course builds on the students´ knowledge gained in the courses of general psychology that was mastered during the previous study. The attention will be drawn to the social psychology and its position within social sciences, to the formation of social psychology in connection with psychology and sociology and to basic themes related to the individual and society. The attention will be paid to the link between individual and social reality in an intrapersonal, interpersonal and social dimension (culture, traditions, norms and the way of life).
The students will enhance their knowledge in the field of social psychology with regard to the students´ specialization.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Attendance at least 80%. A written assignment (1 obligatory, 2 recommended publications and at least 1 more source used). Self-study of the obligatory and recommended sources.
