The objective of this interdisciplinary study programme is to educate and train specialists who will handle specialised communication effectively within a team in multicultural environment. They will convey foreign-language information, create essential information background and support for departments working with foreign resources and will be a benefit for the company's culture. The graduates will acquire a high level of communicative competence in English (C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) as well as in Czech. They will acquire a good knowledge of linguistics, literature and culture, basic understanding of specialised terminology and subjects from the field of economy and administration. Their practical skills will include translation, too. They will be able to produce and effectively present projects, products or institutions. The graduates could find positions in state and local administration, in private companies with the share of foreign capital, in business companies, cultural foundations, translation agencies, in newspapers and wherever professionals with language skills are needed in the process of integration of our country into the European structures. The knowledge, skills and competence acquired in the bachelor study programme will enable the graduates to continue in the master programmes of related disciplines in the European educational sphere.
