Educational and occupational objectives of the field of study: Field of study objective consists in educating qualified restorers and conservators specialized in paper conservation, book binding and related documents capable of engagement in a controlled profession of restoring creative art work items which are not categorized as cultural relics, however, they are stored in museum or gallery collections, or those are cultural value items; the objective is also targeted at cultural heritage items restoration being creative art works or art-and-craft works. The graduate masters required art as well as art-and-craft skills, knowledge of particular branches of science; he/she is able to find their mutual relationship, apply science law principles within analytical and technological procedure context. He/she also manages knowledge of history of creative art and book culture, handles creative art aspects and historical techniques of archival documents and book culture. He/she is ready to understand, determine and manage restoration exploration, conservation and restoration methods and restoration documentation. The graduate is able to work as an independent restorer and conservator, in teams of restorers, as a specialist working for public organizations such as museums, archives, libraries, galleries; he/she can work as a regional care-of-historical-monuments specialist, work within institutes of care of monuments, museum or gallery collection item branch or rare archival and library collections. Knowledge obtained within bachelor course of study is a platform for best students to continue master course of study having the same or similar specialization.
