The goal of the field of the study is to gain a professional qualification as a general nurse in order to provide direct care to individuals, families, and communities while meeting their individual needs, in keeping with the strategy "Health for all in the 21st century". The graduate is able to protect, maintain, restore, and support health of individuals and groups, their autonomy, self-sufficiency in the area of physical, psychological, and life functions while taking into account psychological, social, economic, and cultural differences. The graduate gains competence to work in the profession of general nurse, with an ability to exercise their profession in a number of areas of nursing care and services in hospital, home, and community care that include care of patients/clients in various developmental stages and with a wide range of illnesses and defects. Upon successful completion of the study, graduates gain a wide system foundation in the field of Nursing, with a possibility of further specializations within the lifelong learning framework. Furthermore, it prepares the best graduates for enrolling in a continuing master study program.
